Chatty Cathy

Maddie has started to be very chatty lately.  I think she likes to share with me what she is doing.  If the TV is on, which we try not have on too much, she likes to talk to it.  Here she is telling her daddy what LSU needs to do to score a touchdown...

Northern California

Last week we made the road trip up to Northern California once again.  She was a little more awake this trip and was ready to get out of the car seat by the time we finally reached Nonni's house.  We had an eventful trip.  We had Grandpa Bob's 75th birthday party and Maddie was baptized.  She was pretty good during the baptism.  She only got fussy when the priest touched her head and she seemed to enjoy the warm water and holy oil.  I swear, she smelled like holy oil for days.  That stuff is hard to get out of baby hair!  Here are some pics from the trip.

Palm Springs

For the past I-don't-know-how-many-years, Jake and I have been bookending our summers with trips to Palm Springs; Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.  Well we missed Memorial Day for obvious reasons but we didn't miss Labor Day!  Have to say that there were no flip cup or beer pong tournaments but there was a cutie in the pool.  Here are the pics.

Mommy and Maddie are getting a little bored of her toys.  (I think Mommy more than Maddie) So Jake and I decided to put her jumperoo together this past weekend.  Well, she is still a little too tiny for it...

At least she didn't hate it.

Maddie has also been grabbing onto her toys lately - and trying to put them in her mouth, of course.
